somebody's got a really good case of the mondays

i am not a spontaneous person. nor am i one to not worry about money. i am, however, so truly thankful to have someone like rochelle in my life to fill that void of awesomeness. thanks to her and jay, another lovely monday afternoon was spent in berkeley eating pancake souffles!!

while walking around a little to digest, i bought a new coin purse in this little japanese paper shop. u squeeze the sides and it opens up like a clam. soo cuute~

and then of course we finished off with more sketch ^o^raspberry ice cream with melon granita and fresh raspberries

about once a month i work at the st. justin's thrift shop next to the public library on homestead. as if $1 clothes weren't already enough of a steal, this past weekend everything was 50% off! meaning that i got a pair of nine west shoes that are still in really good condition for only $1!!

unfortunately they were half a size too small. no big deal. the mighty internet has tutorials for just about everything -- like shoe stretching. michelle phan is a genius. her blog is my bible :)

now they go too riduclously well with my dress. no big deal.
oh wait... YEAH IT IS!!

this afternoon at a delightful picnic, rochelle's delicious sliders struck brandon and me with a fat food coma (-.-) zz... and what better way to snooze it off than by wrapping ourselves in one big ol' burrito blanket in the soft grass under the shady trees? i'm told that a bunch of strangers were literally circling us trying to figure out what the heck this floral-printed lump of ugly (especially since you could only see our hair stick out on the side) was. hahaha man i'm so mad i forgot to take pictures!!

ahh i love poketo! imagine how psyched i was to find all 4 plate designs (on sale too) from one of my all time favorite artists, ogi!!

i had the hardest time talking myself out of buying his amazing prints because i figured the money would probably have been better spent towards my tuition.... needless to say, my heart broke multiple times during the process :'(

frankandfrank is one of theee cutest comics from chris appelhans. i haven't loved a simple comic this much since david scheirer's tuesday comic (and that's saying a lot)

i am soo incredibly thankful to PMBQ for allowing me to come help make and sell her awesome tshirts. i'm honored! :D


if it wasn't for her, not only would i not have been able to get the awesome things listed above but i wouldn't have got to see my precious lee pace (from pushing daisies) in person...

in other news, brandon and i went running together for the first time ever in our 5 and a half years of togetherness. i barely jogged one whole lap. walked a second lap. while brandon jogged some more, i rip sticked like a mad woman for a whole lap without getting off once(!!), and then we walked one last lap with xena. that first task was waayy toooo damn hard D:

a little beginning

consider this an attempt to better document my life. i've been meaning to do this for a while... trying to follow my own motto: "don't be afraid (or think you're too cool) to show the world a little bit about you"

so here we go ~

i got a haircut a few weeks ago -- quite significant :3


it was when my little cousins came up to visit. i love holly<3 and her blue power ranger lol

had dinner with some old (and dearest) middle school friends. (happy birthday jieling!)


realized that when it comes to drawing on the computer... yes! i've still got it! but should i put up the whole layout? i don't know.
